Audiovox, now owned by UTStarcom, is a manufacturer of primarily entry level to mid level phones sold mainly in the United States. Audiovox phones are generally outsourced to other phone manufacturers such as Toshiba.
While Audiovox phones are stylish and usually come in clamshell forms, they are very difficult to customize. Most users will not be able to add ringtones or graphics to their phone by themselves, however there are third party companies that offer customization, but charge for the service.
Audiovox includes other types of phones besides the clamshell form, including PDA smart phones and candy bar phones. Audiovox rates poorly for flexibility, but it should be noted that many of their phones do include high quality features including digital cameras, speakerphones and music players.
